Finance manager in digital health

FORTĒA® is a digital health brand focused on healthy aging. We develop medically grounded OTC products and dietary supplements, combining medical expertise with a modern digital user experience. We make healthy aging simple, understandable, and self-directed with digital, evidence-based health solutions. You take over our ongoing financial accounting and month-end close in DATEV. You work closely with the founders, our Finance team, and our tax advisor. With your analytical and precise approach, you ensure accurate figures that help us continue scaling the brand.

• Document management in DATEV Unternehmen online, including review, account assignment, and filing
• Ongoing accounting in DATEV: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed asset accounting
• Payment transactions and dunning
• Reconciliation of bank, credit card, marketplace, and payment accounts (Amazon, Shopify, PayPal)
• Month-end close with accruals, provisions, and inventory valuation
• Support with reporting, annual financial statements, and VAT (including OSS) for the tax advisor
• Further development and automation of accounting processes and interfaces

• Completed commercial training, e.g. as a tax clerk, ideally with further training as a financial accountant or balance sheet accountant, or a comparable degree
• Strong analytical thinking, a structured approach to work, and high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in tax consulting or e-commerce
• Confident use of DATEV (accounting, Unternehmen online)
• Experience with month-end closes, accruals, and inventory valuation
• Very good Excel or Google Sheets skills and an interest in process automation
• Reliability and a hands-on mentality in a small team
• Very good German (at least C1) and good spoken and written English

• You will join a small team that is currently building its next sales channel and take ownership from day one: your own processes, direct access to the founders, and short decision-making paths. In addition: a permanent contract, 30 days of vacation, an office in Berlin, flexible working hours, and the option to work from home by agreement.
