Finance manager in commercial property

NHB Recruitment are working with this well-established, highly regarded professional membership organisation within the UK commercial property sector in their search for a part-time Finance Manager. This is a newly created position, offering an excellent opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, bring greater financial expertise in-house and drive improvements in systems, processes and reporting. Working closely with senior leadership and a collaborative support team, you will play a key role in streamlining financial operations and supporting the continued growth of the organisation.

• Oversee day-to-day transactional finance, including invoicing, supplier payments, expenses and reconciliations.
• Prepare and deliver accurate month-end reporting and management accounts.
• Manage financial information and liaise with external accountants and bookkeepers.
• Collate and review payroll information for the outsourced payroll provider.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, implement new systems and introduce automation to drive efficiency.
• Ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting and effective financial administration.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation, providing proactive financial support.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong hands-on bookkeeping and transactional finance experience.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally within an SME or sole-charge finance environment.
• Confident preparing management accounts and overseeing month-end processes.
• Proactive, organised and comfortable working autonomously.
• Experience improving finance processes, with the confidence to support systems implementation and automation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and confidently challenge stakeholders when required.
• Flexible, adaptable and happy to be involved in both operational and broader finance responsibilities.
