Finance manager for high-cost drugs

The Business Partnering Team – Specialised Commissioning in the NHS England Finance and Planning Directorate is now recruiting for Senior Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of work to support the NHS. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will apply and develop your finance skills across a £7bn+ specialised commissioning high-cost drugs spend area, supporting the Head of Finance with month-end, forecasting and year-end. • Experienced finance professional – qualified accountant with significant financial management experience gained in a large and complex organisation, ideally a public sector or healthcare related organisation
• Proactive problem solver – able to work independently, identify risks and issues, develop solutions and respond effectively to unexpected demands and changing priorities.
• Able to learn and adapt quickly – comfortable getting to grips with complex information quickly, making sound judgements where there may not be an obvious solution, and embracing change.
• Excellent communicator and business partner – able to explain complex financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues, build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across cross-functional teams.
• Collaborative team player – able to work effectively across organisational and professional boundaries, building positive relationships and working with others to deliver shared outcomes.

• Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in our offices.
