Platform engineer in cloud infrastructure

• Our measurement technology supports customers in industries such as building technology, industry, pharmaceuticals, food and environmental monitoring. A growing share of measurement data comes together in our cloud solutions, where it is analyzed and documented for regulated environments. To enable development teams to implement products quickly, they need a reliable Developer Platform. This is where you come in: you ensure that this platform remains stable, secure and continues to evolve.
• You can work from our location in Berlin or from our headquarters in Titisee in the Black Forest.
• Ensure the stable and efficient operation of the Testo Cloud platform and Kubernetes environments, including setting up and maintaining monitoring and alerting so that disruptions are detected early
• Manage incidents, from resolving disruptions to analyzing their causes and deriving lasting improvements
• Further develop the Developer Platform as a self-service platform for development teams, including helping shape the target architecture, providing reusable infrastructure modules (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure the security of the cloud applications running on the platform
• Support development teams with onboarding, platform use and technical questions
• Coordinate the small team, including subject-matter alignment, task allocation and prioritization across operations, incidents, the roadmap and requests, as well as medium-term planning of platform topics and team capacity

• Several years of practical experience in cloud, DevOps or platform engineering, as well as operating cloud platforms
• Confident use of Kubernetes in production, including deployment, scaling, networking and troubleshooting
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP), particularly in networking, identity and storage
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and/or Ansible, including reusable modules, as well as automation of CI/CD pipelines and scripting with Bash or Python
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting, as well as structured incident management, from resolving disruptions to analyzing their causes
• Basic knowledge of cloud and container security, such as access control concepts, secrets management and workload hardening
• Experience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban, as well as initial experience coordinating small teams in a subject-matter capacity
• Very good spoken and written English and German
• Willingness to regularly take on on-call duties outside normal working hours (flexibly from home; call-outs are additionally compensated)
