The company is building a new gaming platform for millions of players, including sportsbook services, live-betting workloads, money-moving operations, and gaming-regulator compliance.

• Design the AWS foundation from scratch, including multi-account architecture, landing zone, VPC and networking, IAM strategy, and cost governance;
• Build and operate the container platform with Amazon EKS, service mesh, autoscaling, and multi-AZ or multi-region resilience;
• Define infrastructure as code with Terraform and GitOps delivery with Argo CD or similar tools;
• Build paved-road CI/CD pipelines that enable product teams to ship safely and frequently;
• Establish metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and an SLO-based reliability practice with error budgets;
• Own production readiness, including incident response, on-call design, runbooks, chaos testing, load testing, and blameless postmortems;
• Build the infrastructure side of the migration from the current third-party platform, including dual-running environments, data migration pipelines, and cutover mechanics;
• Embed audit trails, environment segregation, backup, disaster recovery, and regulatory controls into the platform;
• Provision and operate infrastructure for AI-assisted development and integrate AI tooling into DevOps workflows;
• Mentor engineers across teams on cloud-native and operational best practices;
• Set organization-wide platform standards.

• 10+ Years of DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including 3+ years at staff or principal level with organization-wide influence;
• Deep hands-on AWS experience with EKS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, IAM at scale, and multi-account architectures;
• Expert-level Terraform experience;
• Strong Kubernetes operational expertise covering day-2 operations, upgrades, capacity, and cost;
• Experience building CI/CD and developer platforms that engineering teams adopted willingly;
• Experience with observability and SLO/error-budget practices using Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and CloudWatch;
• Experience operating highly available, high-throughput production systems with real traffic spikes and documented incident playbooks;
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash, with the ability to read application code;
• Experience designing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity for systems where data loss is unacceptable;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• Nice to have: AWS certifications such as SA Professional or DevOps Professional, hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, cloud security posture management, secrets management such as Vault, vulnerability management, SAST/DAST/SCA in CI/CD, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, iGaming, sports betting, fintech or another regulated high-transaction-volume domain, migration off a third-party vendor platform, event-streaming infrastructure such as Kafka/MSK, database operations at scale, Polish and/or Spanish.
