DevOps engineer in cloud infrastructure

You’re probably the person who gets called when a release breaks. Yet you rarely get a say in how the platform is built. Here, you’ll have a real say in it. You’ll join hedgehog lab, a digital product consultancy with 20 years of experience. We’re around 100 people, B Corp and Great Place to Work certified, and backed by a growth capital investor.

• You’ll help shape how infrastructure, pipelines and environments get built on your projects, from early client conversations to go-live.
• You’ll help set the DevOps standards we use across projects, so your ideas go further than one client.
• You’ll design and run cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and GCP for products built in TypeScript, Node and Python.
• You’ll build the CI/CD pipelines that let teams release often and safely, and manage it all as code so environments stay secure, monitored and cost effective.
• You’ll work with clients and project teams on technical decisions and trade-offs.

• Running infrastructure in production on AWS, Azure or GCP
• Infrastructure as code
• CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Containers and orchestration such as Docker or ECS
• Working with clients or non-technical stakeholders on technical decisions

• To make that work, you’ll need to be based within 50 miles of one of our offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester or London.
