DevOps engineer for sandbox environments

N-iX is a global software development service company that helps businesses across the globe create next-generation software products. We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Product Operations team and lead the management of sandbox environments for our customers using our signature platform services. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable solutions for sandbox policy enforcement, automatic resource management, and subscription tiering.

• Design and implement automated policies to manage user access to sandbox environments (including timed evictions and automatic sandbox teardown) to optimize resource usage and ensure security/compliance.
• Architect and automate the creation, assignment, and destruction of sandbox environments, ensuring that customer usage aligns with organizational policies and licensing agreements.
• Develop a robust tagging strategy for sandboxes and related resources to facilitate tracking, billing, and auditing.
• Implement logic and tooling that enable dynamic tiering up and down of customer subscriptions, including feature access and sandbox size limitations.
• Develop dashboards and alerts to monitor sandbox usage, automate notifications for resource quota breaches, and provide customers/admins with usage insights.
• Work cross-functionally with product, support, and engineering teams to resolve issues, improve existing processes, and integrate new product features into the DevOps workflow.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer or Product Operations in SaaS environments
• Experience managing sandboxes or ephemeral environments for external customers
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (one of: Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with automation/orchestration (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible)
• Experience with resource tagging, IAM policy design, and user access automation
• Strong understanding of subscription/billing/tiering concepts in SaaS
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English
