backend developer in observability

The project consolidates observability data from multiple platforms into a centralized monitoring ecosystem, providing actionable insights across large-scale enterprise environments. The platform supports operational excellence through standardized monitoring, alerting, reporting, and governance, enabling observability management across multiple business domains.

• Develop and maintain New Relic observability solutions across multiple environments and accounts
• Design and manage cross-account telemetry aggregation and reporting capabilities
• Create and maintain dashboards as code and alert policies as code using Terraform and Crossplane
• Implement and optimize NRQL queries for enterprise-level monitoring and analytics
• Configure and manage alert policies integrated with Opsgenie and future ServiceNow workflows
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to establish observability standards and best practices
• Support OpenTelemetry- and ADOT-based telemetry ingestion into New Relic
• Design scalable metric dimensions and tagging strategies for large agent deployments while maintaining low cardinality
• Contribute to monitoring governance across technical, business, and audit domains
• Analyze observability data to improve platform reliability, performance, and operational efficiency

• 6+ Years of experience in observability or SRE engineering
• Experience with New Relic or an equivalent SaaS observability platform operated as a multi-tenant consolidation layer
• Experience with cross-account or cross-tenant telemetry aggregation and reporting
• Experience working within a technical, business, and audit observability segregation model
