Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you own the software architecture across the airborne companion computer, autopilot integration, and mission management subsystems. You will build and scale reliable Linux-based systems and real-time software operating under strict safety and execution requirements.

• Architect, develop, and maintain Linux-based companion computer software and real-time mission management subsystems.
• Integrate software components using C++ and Python with Gerrit, Git, and automated testing tools.
• Design robust APIs and IPC mechanisms for low-latency hardware and autopilot communications.
• Perform code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and mentor team members on code quality.
• Collaborate with flight test and hardware teams to validate mission management software on target platforms.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development using C++ and Python in Linux environments.
• Proven expertise with Gerrit code review workflows and Git version control systems.
• Strong experience with autopilot systems integration and embedded mission management software.
• Experience with ROS / ROS2 or similar robotics frameworks.
• Familiarity with UAV communication protocols (MAVLink) and safety-critical software design.
