• Develop and implement the company’s technical strategy and vision
• Lead the development and deployment of software products and services
• Solve technical problems raised by the product team
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize technical requirements and opportunities
• Develop, test, and maintain backend products and services
• Run large-scale A/B and multivariate experiments, analyze results, and deploy changes that support business goals
• Design and implement backend server architectures
• Monitor and optimize existing system performance
• Manage and mentor a team of developers and engineers
• Implement security best practices to protect customer data
• Improve development processes with the team
• Keep up to date with backend and cloud development trends
• Work with the support team to optimize and automate user support flows

• 8+ Years of development experience in a production environment
• Recent experience developing backends for mobile apps
• Experience managing and leading a team of developers
• Experience with scalable development and deployment supporting at least 10,000 DAUs
• Experience with cloud deployment, operations, and optimization
• Experience with databases and query optimization, such as partitioning, sharding, and performance optimization
• Experience with algorithm design and RESTful services
• Experience with Git, Agile development methodologies, and DevOps principles and best practices
• Knowledge of security best practices for web and mobile applications
• Experience with RSpec or other automated testing frameworks
• Experience with performance optimization
• Communicate clearly and confidently in English
• Have a “let’s get it DONE” mindset
• Be obsessively detail-oriented
• Enjoy sharing ideas and building things together
• Be able to collaborate effectively with a global team
