• Develop Python REST and asynchronous APIs with FastAPI or Django, and publish and version OpenAPI contracts
• Model relational and NoSQL schemas and manage migrations
• Implement messaging with Azure Service Bus or Event Grid and background processing with Celery and Azure Functions
• Configure authentication and authorization, Redis caching, and API gateway routing and versioning
• Containerize services and prepare them for AKS or Container Apps deployment through CI/CD
• Instrument structured logging, tracing, and metrics, and define alerts
• Provide production support for owned services, including root-cause analysis and post-incident actions
• Ensure service reliability, API contracts, and backward compatibility for owned services
• Maintain data integrity and securely handle secrets and personal data in line with Client policy
• Ensure API performance and scalability against agreed non-functional requirements
• Maintain unit and integration test coverage and the quality of reviewed pull requests
• Provide production support for owned services within the agreed support model

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ Years of back-end development, including 4+ years in Python and 3+ years building and operating services on Azure
• Expert knowledge of Python 3.11+, FastAPI and/or Django (DRF), asynchronous programming, and Pydantic
• Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, AKS or Container Apps, and Application Insights
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL data modeling, SQLAlchemy or Django ORM, and Redis
• Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Azure AD/Entra ID app registrations, and OWASP API Top 10
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform
• Experience with pytest, contract and integration testing, and observability with OpenTelemetry
