Machine learning-engineer für ERP-Software

As a Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d), you develop machine learning features for our products, step by step on concrete projects. MICOS develops ERP software for the social sector. In the Innovation Team, you work with us to assess early on which ideas have potential.

• Develop machine learning models and integrate them as software into the products used by our customers.
• Ensure maintainable, tested code that complies with our software development standards.
• Get involved early in innovation projects with data potential to examine existing data, assess whether the problem is suitable for machine learning, and formulate data-related assumptions.
• Review these assumptions using samples, simple baselines, and feasibility tests, and give an honest assessment if they do not hold up.
• Prepare data from different sources and document what it means.
• Coordinate closely with our architecture team so that models can be cleanly integrated into our products.
• Make models production-ready through testing, monitoring, and documentation, and roll them out into production together with our software development team.
• Ensure privacy-compliant implementation and coordinate early with Privacy and Security.

• You have experience in professional software development and enjoy writing clean, maintainable code.
• You also have experience bringing machine learning models into production in a company.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning, and the habit of validating models against simple baselines.
• Enjoyment of data preparation and understanding data from different sources.
• Strong communication skills when working with business and technical roles.
• The ability to explain and document models and their limitations clearly.
• A basic understanding of data protection (GDPR).
• Enthusiasm for showing results early and testing assumptions instead of optimizing behind the scenes for a long time.
