Java software engineer for customs operations

We partner with governments worldwide, providing cutting-edge solutions to boost their revenue by streamlining trade and logistics operations across the entire trade spectrum. We are looking for Middle Java Software Engineers to join our team and develop a modern, scalable platform for Customs operations.

• Design and develop scalable, reliable distributed applications.
• Apply best practices in software design, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate development, generate tests, refactor code, debug issues, and improve engineering workflows.
• Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Travel to our project offices when necessary.

• 4+ years of Java development experience, including Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, Kafka, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of JVM performance, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and containerized applications.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Availability and willingness to travel to project offices are mandatory.
