Java developer for business-critical software

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve business-critical software solutions.
• Understand existing applications, challenge the status quo, and identify opportunities for modernization and improvement.
• Refactor legacy components while protecting stability and business continuity.
• Investigate complex issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure high standards for software quality, maintainability, security, and documentation.
• Support integration, deployment, and operational readiness across the application lifecycle.
• Translate business and functional needs into effective software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with developers, testers, architects, and project stakeholders across an international environment.
• Take ownership of your topics and proactively communicate progress, dependencies, and risks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Engineering, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional Java development experience, with a strong backend focus.
• Strong knowledge of Java EE / J2EE applications and architectures.
• Experience maintaining and refactoring legacy applications.
• Strong knowledge of WebLogic and JBoss, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Solid SQL and PL/SQL skills, particularly with Oracle Database and PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP communication and system integration.
• Experience with Subversion (SVN), Ant, Eclipse, and MagicDraw.
• Basic Windows administration and troubleshooting knowledge.
• English is mandatory, as you’ll work and communicate in an international project environment.
• You’re someone who enjoys digging into complex systems and understanding how things really work.
• You combine technical expertise with ownership, curiosity, attention to detail, and a strong quality and security mindset.
• You’re comfortable working autonomously, but you also recognize that great software is built through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
