engineering manager for Customer Support AI automations

Bolt is a global mobility platform that helps people move through cities with ride-hailing, food delivery, scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing. It serves more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

• Lead and grow a group of engineering managers and senior engineers, owning hiring, performance, and career growth across a cross-functional team of roughly 25 to 30 people
• Set the group’s technical direction, from agent orchestration and evaluation to knowledge systems and support-agent tooling
• Increase automation rates while maintaining quality, defining fair-resolution guardrails and metrics to identify when automation goes too far
• Partner with CS, Product, Analytics, and Design, and take DRI ownership of complex cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering and operations

• Have led engineering managers, not only engineers, for several years in an organisation of comparable scale and complexity
• Have built and shipped AI systems in production, such as agentic tooling, chatbots, RAG and knowledge pipelines, or in-house AI platforms
• Set technical direction through architecture reviews, principles, tech leads, and guardrails, and be prepared to defend a technical point of view
• Be comfortable with evaluation methodology and use data to assess AI systems; explain the business value of automation to non-technical stakeholders
• Use AI tools daily while remaining responsible for the quality of the output
