Limebit is a Berlin-based consulting company for data science and machine learning in healthcare. For ten years, we have worked with health insurers, hospital groups, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies to turn medical data into reliable insights and productive applications. Our team of data scientists, ML engineers, mathematicians, and software developers is continuing to grow. We are looking for someone with some initial practical experience to work with us on challenging client projects and develop professionally.

• Analyses and ML models based on real-world care data such as statutory health insurance claims data, hospital data, or cancer registry data
• Real-world evidence studies for pharmaceutical companies, including survival analyses
• Audit and scoring models for health insurers, including NLP on unstructured texts
• Developing data pipelines and moving from prototype to production
• Software development using widely used machine learning and statistics libraries (scikit-learn, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) and typical development tools (Git, GitFlow, GitHub, GitLab, Jira)
• Researching the literature and implementing new methods as prototypes
• Coordinating with subject matter experts on the client side and presenting results
• Optional: teaching in data science and programming

• Completed degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, bioinformatics, or a comparable field; alternatively, comparable practical experience
• Some initial practical experience, for example from projects or the first years of professional work
• Confident use of Python and commonly used libraries (e.g. pandas or Polars, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch), as well as SQL
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
• Experience with Git and collaborative development
• Very good German skills (at least C1), as our clients are from the German healthcare sector and public sector, as well as good English skills
