Data engineer in cybersecurity

Join a leading international retail group transforming the way it manages data and cybersecurity. With 500,000+ employees across 30+ countries, the Barcelona hub plays a key role in developing core platforms, cloud infrastructure, and global initiatives in data, AI, and cybersecurity. You will help build a platform that centralizes and processes vulnerability data at scale, making a real impact on security and operations worldwide.

• Design and develop systems processing millions of events daily
• Build batch and real-time data pipelines
• Write production-grade Python and backend logic
• Integrate data from multiple sources: Splunk, ServiceNow, Salesforce
• Model and structure data for efficient consumption
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability
• Develop monitoring and alerting solutions for reliability
• Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and product teams
• Participate in architecture discussions and propose improvements
• Contribute to the future evolution of AI-driven analytics
• You will work on high-scale distributed systems; helped structure CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows across multiple repositories.

• Strong Python skills (production level)
• Experience with PySpark and large-scale data processing
• Background in data pipelines (ELT)
• Knowledge of distributed and event-driven systems
• Engineering mindset – able to build scalable, maintainable systems
• Comfortable in international environments (English required)

• Hybrid model: 8 days/month onsite (flexible)
