data engineer for financial reconciliation

Mollie provides payment and money management products for businesses across Europe. Its financial services orchestrate money movements and support financial products used by more than 250,000 companies.

• Build and maintain dbt data models from raw source data to consumable mart tables, powering tooling and dashboards that monitor critical financial processes
• Work closely with engineers to understand Mollie’s money movements and financial processes and model the data correctly
• Partner with stakeholders across Merchant Finance and Treasury to define and track key financial data and enable daily reconciliation
• Implement data quality validation checks, testing frameworks, and proactive monitoring to ensure high trust in data used for analysis and decision-making

• 5+ Years of experience in analytics engineering roles
• Strong technical foundation in SQL, data modelling, and automation
• Strong dbt skills
• Ability to take a helicopter view and determine what matters
• Skilled at stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams
• Willingness to challenge senior stakeholders on their assumptions and requests
• Business-aware, impact-driven, and curious
