Data engineer for AI solutions

Would you like your work with data to directly drive AI solutions used in real business across multiple industries at once? Delta Holding is one of the largest companies in the region, with businesses in the automotive industry, distribution, logistics, agriculture, manufacturing, real estate and hospitality. AI is one of our strategic priorities, and high-quality, connected data is its foundation. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the data team in the AI sector and turn data into business value. You will work in the AI sector's data team alongside the Data Lead and help develop the platform from an early stage.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines on a lakehouse platform in a cloud or hybrid environment
• Connect the platform to ERP systems and other business applications and extract data from them
• Implement medallion architecture, from raw data to data ready for reporting and AI
• Model data and participate in building a semantic layer
• Turn data contracts into automated data quality checks
• Prepare data for specific business AI initiatives, in collaboration with AI engineers
• Participate in implementing data security and protection rules: access rights, data classification and processing of personal data
• Write tests, conduct code reviews and maintain documentation
• Participate in transferring knowledge and code from external suppliers to the internal repository
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and costs
• Collaborate with the IT sector (database, BI, infrastructure, security and business application departments)

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering
• Advanced knowledge of SQL: modeling, window functions, query optimization
• Good knowledge of Python and Spark (PySpark) in production
• Experience with at least one lakehouse or DWH platform (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake) and lakehouse formats (Delta Lake or Iceberg)
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster or tools within cloud and data platforms)
• Experience in data modeling (dimensional model or a similar approach)
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD processes
• Experience working in a cloud or hybrid environment
• English language skills for working with documentation and external partners
