Data engineer for AI and analytics

The client, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of home appliances, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time, remote contract lasting 5–6 months, collaborating with a Stockholm-based team on CET hours. A hands-on, individual-contributor role. You'll build and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern data architecture on Azure, delivering trusted, high-impact data products that power the company's AI and analytics initiatives.

• Design, build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure
• Implement data transformations and models with dbt
• Process and analyze data at scale with Databricks and Python
• Orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow and ingest data with Azure Data Factory
• Contribute to architecture decisions and keep the team's technical bar high
• Collaborate in a multicultural, English-speaking environment

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering
• Strong dbt experience (modern data modelling and transformation)
• Databricks (Spark-based processing and analytics)
• Microsoft Azure — proven hands-on track record building on Azure data platforms
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset
• Fluent English
