backend engineer for cloud SaaS products

The platform team builds the foundation for product engineers, including shared libraries, core services, CI/CD, and observability for cloud SaaS products.

• Build shared libraries, SDKs, and internal backend services
• Keep GitHub Actions CI/CD fast, reliable, and secure
• Evolve observability across metrics, logs, traces, and alerts
• Improve developer experience with templates, scaffolds, and local development tooling
• Support product teams with design reviews
• Join the team’s on-call rotation

• 4+ Years of production experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of Node.js internals, including the event loop, memory, and async I/O
• PostgreSQL experience beyond CRUD, including query plans, indexes, slow queries, and migrations
• Hands-on AWS experience with DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis, and Lambda; expertise in all four is not required
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions
• Practical observability experience with metrics, dashboards, and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or similar
• Confident and critical use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot
• Experience working in distributed teams across time zones
