Our interview process involves three main stages:
Initial Call
Take home task or pair coding exercise
Final interview including a system design and a behavioural interview
Monzo is a digital bank that provides personal and business accounts, joint accounts, youth and kids accounts, credit cards, savings, investments, and pension services. It aims to simplify banking, improve financial wellbeing, and solve customer problems through technology and customer-focused service.

Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and improve customer outcomes;
Build and support a particular part of Monzo;
Work in a product squad alongside product managers, marketers, user researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, data analysts, business analysts, and writers;
Design and build Monzo’s in-house banking platform.

Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product;
Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions;
Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity;
Interest in distributed systems and resilient software;
Experience with strongly typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala;
No formal qualifications or degree requirements;
Nice to have: Enjoyment of the kind of work Monzo is doing.
