backend developer for physical inventory management

• Develop a proprietary cloud platform for physical inventory management;
• Design and evolve production systems;
• Own data, reliability, and technical decisions;
• Formulate tasks, provide context, decompose work, review AI-generated code, and validate outputs;
• Analyze system load, failures, and incidents;
• Deliver end-to-end features with incomplete requirements;
• Use Git, code review, and CI/CD practices;
• Implement access control, logging, and metrics.

• Strong backend engineering experience and ability to work independently;
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills;
• Good understanding of transactions, concurrent updates, idempotent operations, APIs, asynchronous processing, system load, and failure analysis;
• Hands-on experience with Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools;
• Strong testing and production engineering practices;
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, or Python;
• React experience for full-stack profiles;
• Proficiency in both backend stacks is not required;
• Nice to have: offline-first applications or mobile synchronization, handheld barcode scanners, retail, WMS, logistics, ERP integrations, event ingestion, queues or asynchronous systems, billing or payment systems, live dashboards, load and performance testing.
