backend developer for international payments

• Drive the technical vision for the owned domain within an autonomous team;
• Contribute to the platform and back-office tooling;
• Contribute episodically to customer-facing flows;
• Help scale and build the transfer product;
• Collaborate closely with the product manager and analyst.

• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems;
• Years of Java 8+ experience;
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases;
• Experience with query optimisation and schema design;
• Strong product mindset and focus on customer experience;
• Ability to prioritise work based on customer needs and use data-driven decisions to address pain points;
• Enjoyment of collaboration and bringing people together to solve problems;
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining clean RESTful APIs;
• Adherence to best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback;
• Experience writing testable code and following Test Driven Development;
• Nice to have: Spring Boot, Kafka, BFFs (Backend-for-Frontends).

• Starting salary: £68,000 - £87,500;
• Work location: London and Cherkasy offices;
