backend developer for dependency management

The company provides a developer platform with a tool that monitors outdated or vulnerable packages and creates pull requests to update them across multiple package ecosystems. The exact scope between the open-source tool and the platform remains to be confirmed.

• Contribute hands-on development to automated dependency management tooling
• Work across languages and package ecosystems to support dependency updates
• Collaborate through pull requests, code review, and CI workflows
• Take ownership of development tasks and ramp up quickly

• Strong hands-on coding skills and readiness to contribute from day one; practical coding ability matters more than years of experience
• Proficiency in Ruby and ability to work with Go and Python
• Confident everyday use of AI coding tools, including GitHub Copilot and agentic workflows
• Experience with Git/GitHub workflows, including pull requests, code review, and CI with GitHub Actions
• Ability to deliver independently and own substantial work
• Good English for meetings, pull requests, and issues

• Workday overlap until 11 AM / 12 PM PT (Eastern Europe timezone works)
• Target start: ASAP. A couple of engineers who can start in 3-4 weeks and ramp up quickly; the rest can come in a second wave
