backend developer for AI platforms

Kake provides a platform that combines cloud infrastructure, data intelligence, and artificial intelligence with customer systems, supporting enterprise decision-making through high-volume data processing and AI integrations.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Python, and FastAPI;
• Build and optimize backend systems, databases, and data processing workflows;
• Develop and maintain integrations with AI platforms and Large Language Models, including OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic;
• Collaborate with Customers, Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define technical solutions and deliver features;
• Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability;
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while enhancing observability and monitoring;
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the technical direction of the platform;
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions using Google Cloud services.

• 8+ Years of professional backend software engineering experience using TypeScript, Node.js, and Express;
• Strong experience building APIs and backend services with Python and FastAPI;
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning;
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable, production-grade distributed systems;
• Experience in fast-paced, client-facing roles and a passion for working with customers;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environments;
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and cloud-native services such as Functions, Jobs, or equivalent technologies;
• Experience troubleshooting production systems and implementing observability best practices;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment;
• Nice to have: experience with DBT and modern data transformation workflows, familiarity with Golang, experience with Datadog or other observability and monitoring platforms, exposure to React, Next.js, and TypeScript, experience integrating and working with Large Language Models through SDKs and APIs, experience building AI-powered products or features, familiarity with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and modern analytics ecosystems, previous experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment.
