Backend developer for AI platforms

Do you want to combine the worlds of AI, LLMs and low-code in real projects? Join the Neula team - we are developing a SaaS platform for business process automation using our proprietary low-code platform (Scala + Akka, Angular) and integrations with language models (e.g. ChatGPT, Llama, Anthropic). Our clients are companies in the financial sector (from medium-sized to large institutions) and other industries (from retail and media to the public sector). We are rapidly acquiring new clients and expanding the team. We are looking for someone to develop the backend who wants to influence the system architecture and grow in the direction of AI/LLMs.

• Design and develop the backend of the Neula platform (Scala / Java, Akka)
• Ensure the scalability, performance and security of the system in a cloud environment
• Integrate LLMs with the platform (including building RAG solutions and agent systems)
• Move into new areas depending on project needs (e.g. frontend, DevOps, integrations) - without waiting for someone else to do it
• Help decide on the architecture and technical solutions - analyze requirements, propose solutions and implement them

• Experience building backends based on the JVM (Scala / Java / Kotlin)
• Practical experience working with SQL / NoSQL databases and creating and integrating REST APIs
• Ability to choose technologies and tools to fit the problem, rather than limiting yourself exclusively to familiar solutions
• Practical, everyday use of AI tools in the software development process and awareness of their limitations
• Knowledge of Polish and English at a level that enables everyday technical work
• Будет плюсом: Knowledge of Scala and Akka; Ability to program on the frontend (Angular, TypeScript); Experience building distributed systems (scalability and high availability); Knowledge of Linux server administration and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure); Experience building LLM-based solutions (RAG, agents) - not just using them; Knowledge of low-code / BPMS platforms and business process automation
