Backend developer

We’re supporting a partner company in hiring a Backend Developer with strong experience in server-side development, RESTful APIs, and database management. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building secure, scalable backend systems and working on real production applications, not demos.

• Developing and maintaining backend services and APIs for live production environments
• Building scalable server-side applications using Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar technologies
• Designing and optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases, including queries, relationships, and data structures
• Developing and integrating RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party services
• Implementing secure authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms
• Improving backend performance, database efficiency, and application scalability
• Identifying, debugging, and resolving server-side issues in production environments
• Collaborating with frontend developers to ensure reliable API integration and data flow

• Practical experience developing and maintaining backend applications in production environments
• Strong knowledge of at least one backend technology, such as Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and client-server architecture
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, OAuth, and backend security practices
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and modern development workflows
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, error handling, and performance optimization
• Understanding of API testing, debugging, and database query optimization
• Focus on clean code, security, scalability, and maintainability
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with frontend developers and cross-functional teams
