Azure AI engineer in agentic systems

• You develop agentic solutions on the Microsoft Azure AI Stack for our customers, from knowledge assistants and autonomous multi-agent systems to the responsible operation of production AI applications.
• You translate AI potential into scalable, secure, and effective solutions and actively contribute to our reference architectures.
• You design and implement tailored solutions on the Azure AI Stack, including RAG systems, document intelligence, and LLM-powered process automation.
• You develop multi-agent architectures with modern frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or LangGraph and integrate tools and data sources through open standards such as MCP and A2A.
• You consistently work agentically, using specialized agents throughout the AI engineering lifecycle, and establish quality gates for agent-assisted development and operations processes.
• You are responsible for the production operation of AI applications, from model selection, prompt management, and versioning to observability, token cost control, and scaling.
• You embed security, data protection, and monitoring based on Microsoft's governance tools and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• You support customers in envisioning workshops such as "Agent in a Day," prioritize use cases, and develop pragmatic implementation roadmaps.
• You further develop reference architectures and asset libraries within the team and act as a sparring partner for technical deep dives.

• You have at least five years of experience in software development, AI solution development, or technical consulting, including at least one year focused specifically on Azure AI or LLM applications in production.
• You confidently use Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search and have extensive experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD in the Microsoft environment.
• You have experience developing production AI solutions on the Microsoft AI Stack and have solid knowledge of Python and/or C#/.NET.
• You understand the typical challenges of production AI systems, from inference latency and prompt stability to model drift, evaluation, and cost control.
• You have practical experience developing and orchestrating AI agents with open integration standards such as MCP and ideally also know how to integrate agents into the development process.
• You understand the risks of generative AI, are familiar with common mitigation strategies and regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, GDPR), and have a sense of cost sensitivity in AI use.
• Your very good German and good English skills enable you to communicate confidently.
