Analytics platform engineer

• As Analytics Platform Engineer, you are the central point of contact between internal stakeholders (Controlling, Delivery Ops & Projects, Leadership Team) and the entire data structure of DigitalService.
• You are responsible for, optimize and expand our modern data platform, structure complex KPIs and build high-performance, secure Power BI dashboards.
• Your work forms the basis for important strategic and data-driven decisions—both internally and for our project business.
• You ensure stable operations, optimize and expand our central data platform based on Microsoft Fabric.
• Building on our Lakehouse architecture, you develop new ETL/ELT pipelines, dashboards and notebooks.
• Capacity, cost and performance monitoring are integral parts of your work.
• You build high-performance and reusable semantic data models in close collaboration with Controlling and other internal stakeholders at DigitalService.
• You design and maintain intuitive dashboards in Power BI.
• You implement a well-designed and practical access and permissions management system for a secure reporting environment.
• When connecting APIs and assigning access rights, you always ensure compliance with internal data protection (GDPR) and compliance standards.
• You use best practices such as Git integration in Microsoft Fabric and set up automated data quality checks to catch deviations early, before they reach end users’ reports.
• In general, you avoid manual changes that cannot be traced.
• As part of the future Tech Ops team, you work closely with our Controlling & Finance team and our Leadership Team, advise them and build precise data products that serve as a reliable basis for strategic decisions.

• Solid experience with data lakehouse architectures (ideally Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse / ADF) and building robust star schemas.
• You also have a very good understanding of BI tools.
• Very good knowledge of SQL and Python / PySpark for data transformations, as well as extensive development experience in Power BI (DAX, Power Query).
• Strong communication skills for working directly with Controlling & Finance and other internal stakeholders.
• You translate business requirements precisely into logical reporting structures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, automated data quality and permission concepts (such as Row-Level Security).
• An independent and highly organized way of working to keep existing data flows stable and prioritize tasks.
• You communicate confidently in German (C1) and English, as we speak both languages in our day-to-day work.

• The salary for this position is between 63,000 and 70,000 euros gross per year.
