That is our purpose, that is our motivation! In this role, you develop AI solutions that make GEMA’s business challenges practically solvable—from the initial idea to production-ready implementation. You work confidently at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and business expertise. For each use case, you choose an approach that makes business sense, is technically viable, and can be operated sustainably over the long term.

• Together with business experts, Product Owners, and technical teams, you identify AI use cases, refine business questions, and develop viable solution approaches, making them tangible as a demo or prototype when needed.
• You work across the entire AI implementation chain—from data analysis and feature engineering through model development, training, and evaluation to integration into usable services.
• Depending on the use case, you use classical machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, LLM-based solutions, or a pragmatic combination of these.
• You bring successful approaches into production-ready or production environments and consider operations from the outset—including deployment, monitoring, model and data quality, security, traceability, and maintainability.
• You actively contribute to our AI Platform and develop it further together with the team—including with ZenML, Google Cloud, and other components for MLOps, monitoring, labeling, evaluation, and deployment.
• You take ownership of projects and work packages and collaborate closely with business experts, Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers.

• You have several years of experience developing data- or AI-related applications and enjoy advancing AI solutions from the initial concept to a usable application.
• You are well organized, even when things get complex: you work independently and responsibly and drive topics forward with a clear focus on results.
• You explain complex technical concepts clearly, justify solution approaches and model decisions in an understandable way, and confidently present results to business and technical stakeholders.
• Machine learning and data science workflows are part of your toolkit—from data analysis and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and assessing model limitations.
• You are confident using Python and libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, or comparable tools, and you assess classical ML methods, deep learning, and generative AI approaches according to the use case.
• Software engineering is an integral part of good solutions for you: clean code, tests, Git, pull requests, CI/CD, technical documentation, and maintainable architectures are second nature to you.
• You have experience with cloud and MLOps topics—ideally involving Google Cloud, infrastructure as code, GitHub Actions, model versioning, pipeline orchestration, monitoring, or deployment of ML services.
• You communicate confidently and precisely in German, both in writing and verbally. You are also confident using English in your professional environment.
