product designer for AI-powered work tools

Granola is developing AI-powered work tools, evolving its product into a multiplayer, multi-platform tool that goes beyond note-taking.

• Define early features and work closely with engineers to ship and market them
• Improve the product’s fit and finish, crafting a polished user experience
• Spend time with users to investigate use cases, test features, and identify what to build next
• Prototype, test, and iterate, moving between exploring new ideas and refining promising features, interactions, typography, and motion
• Evolve the brand and design language and apply it consistently across the product

• Several years of experience shipping well-designed products to real users; this is a senior/staff-level role
• Experience designing open-ended tools and architecting flexible systems
• Ability to balance rapid iteration with attention to interaction, typography, and motion details
• Strong prototyping skills
• Interest in solving problems with code and using the latest AI tools
• Focus on shipped design outcomes, not just polished Figma files
• Comfortable designing across Mac, iOS, and web, with awareness of established platform patterns
• A builder mindset
• Interest in startup environments or experience working in a startup, especially the zero-to-one phase
