Motion designer

Do you love performance creative: short-form ads that win on data, not just on taste? For Applause, we’re looking for a Motion Designer who builds hooks, variants and templates for Meta and TikTok, working closely with the growth team while owning the creative pitch and execution yourself. About us: Applause buys small, profitable consumer subscription apps and grows them, rather than building new ones from scratch. The portfolio currently spans around ten apps, like Nomorobo and Voice Dream.

• You build short-form vertical videos for Meta and TikTok: ads that grab attention in the first three seconds, iterated on based on test data.
• You work from briefs and results, but also pitch your own hooks and concepts from competitor and trend research, always building multiple variants per concept.
• Short-form video, plus static and carousel variants of the same concepts.
• Multiple variants per concept: hooks, formats, lengths.
• Reading ad metrics and turning them into the next round.
• Competitor/trend research (Meta/TikTok Ad Library teardowns) for new hooks.
• Templates in After Effects and Premiere/CapCut for fast iteration.
• AI video/voice tools (Kling, Seedance, Runway, ElevenLabs) and UGC-style footage as standard workflow.
• App UI animation and screen-recording-based ads.

• 3+ years making short-form performance ads for a mobile app or DTC brand, in-house or at a performance creative agency, not mainly brand work.
• Portfolio showing multiple variants of one concept, with a sense of what works and why.
• Strong in After Effects and Premiere/CapCut.
• Already uses AI video/voice tools and UGC footage in your workflow.
• Experience with app UI animation and screen-recording ads.

• €3,000–5,000 per month, depending on experience, on a B2B contract.
• Beyond that, we keep things flexible, we’ll figure out together what setup and benefits work best for your situation.
