• Create delivery excellence across assigned projects or portfolios and provide certainty and confidence to customers and project sponsors
• Control project scope, schedule, cost, and risk
• Specify and coordinate the implementation and completion of projects, ensuring safe delivery and compliance with quality, schedule, and cost targets
• Manage project risks, changes, customer relationships, reporting, and governance
• Manage project P&L, commercial and financial accountability, revenue, margins, overheads, budgets, forecasts, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, billing, and cash collection
• Contribute to and review project proposals and plans, including timelines, procedures, staffing, resource allocation, and evaluation parameters
• Negotiate changes to project scope or specifications with customers and manage approvals for changes to scope, cost, schedule, and quality
• Pursue and develop innovation opportunities, including digitalisation, technology use, work share, and high-value engineering centres
• Establish project procedures and lead production of project execution plans, including scope of work, deliverables, schedules, budgets, organisation charts, and risk registers
• Deliver agreed schedules and financial performance, intervening proactively to prevent slippage
• Ensure project team members are competent to perform assigned work
• Lead ongoing risk identification and mitigation during project execution
• Lead project HSSE, establish initiatives and audit schedules, and address HSSE and quality management issues proactively
• Guide and direct multidisciplinary project teams, including external specialists and staff from multiple offices and sites
• Promote performance improvement culture and actions on complex projects and across their supply chains
• Set up information management systems and applications for project life phases and manage the information management project team
• Participate in assurance activities and peer reviews
• Champion ethical behaviour and compliance with applicable laws and policies
• Oversee proposals and call-offs within delegated authority, ensuring compliance with contracting policies and ethical standards
• Coach, mentor, and empower others to make decisions within established parameters

• University degree in a relevant discipline
• More than 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2–3 years managing projects or parts of projects
• Experience in the relevant field, industry, and work locations
• Proven project management experience and understanding of business issues
• Thorough understanding of project management techniques, practices, goals, drivers, and strategies
• Experience developing and implementing success and benefits measures across several projects
• Knowledge of stakeholder prioritisation and stakeholder management plans
• Experience engaging with key project stakeholders to establish and maintain requirements and acceptance criteria
• Knowledge of industry and company risk management processes, qualitative assessment methods, and quantitative assessment techniques
• Ability to use common estimating techniques to estimate project costs
• Knowledge of contract models, conditions, types, and their suitability
• Ability to initiate multi-phase projects and produce project execution plans
• Knowledge of international and company quality assurance standards
• Knowledge of commercial and contract conditions for procuring goods and services
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling techniques, project monitoring, and forecasting
• Ability to manage change control on projects involving multiple subcontractors and interfaces
• In-depth knowledge of project deliverables and information management, including managing an information management project team
• Knowledge of customer, company, and supplier handover and close-out activities
• Understanding of cash flow management and cost-at-completion projections and forecasts
