N26 provides a digital banking platform, offering customers branchless banking and savings services through a digital experience.

• Support the development of a risk-based annual audit plan for business functions, including product, customer operations, sales, marketing, and partnerships
• Support and conduct business internal audits across the N26 group, including audits of external contractors
• Prepare internal audit reports within defined audit scopes
• Monitor whether audit findings are remedied within the specified timeframe
• Participate in key projects while maintaining independence, avoiding conflicts of interest, and upholding internal audit policies and procedures
• Perform work in accordance with professional and regulatory standards

• Degree in economics or comparable training
• At least 5 years of experience as an Internal Auditor in an international company and regulated environment
• Strong process understanding and profound knowledge of online banking and retail products
• Good insight into banking laws and requirements, with willingness to learn local banking laws, standard banking requirements, and banking IT systems
• Good English and German language skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including engaging cross-functional stakeholders and withstanding management pushback
• Proficiency in audit tools, data analytics, and reporting systems
• Deep understanding of operational and financial controls, process optimization, and risk mitigation
• Strong report writing skills focused on legal and factual subsumption
• Ability to produce robust and defensible reports
• Audit leadership and audit quality assurance
