DevOps engineer for cloud-native platforms

• Realization and further development of a cloud-native platform for the Bundeswehr’s crisis preparedness information system and integration into the BWI system landscape
• Planning, implementation, and maintenance of the SDN-based network and virtualization infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code)
• Development and further development of automation and maintenance scripts
• Evaluation, procurement, and provision of developer tools for CI/CD pipelines
• Securing the development platform in accordance with IT-Grundschutz and creating information security concepts
• Supporting agile DevOps projects (Secure Software Supply Chain)
• Working in cross-functional teams comprising the Bundeswehr, BWI, and civilian partners

• Completed degree in computer science or comparable training
• At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps environment
• Very good knowledge of scripting languages (preferably Python) and shell (Bash, PowerShell) for automation
• Very good knowledge of working in agile development teams (Git workflows, code review)
• Experience in networking/virtualization (Layer 2+3, VMware) and administration of Windows and Linux servers (focus on operating environments)
• Experience in containers/orchestration (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), observability, and CI/CD toolchains (GitLab, ArgoCD, Nexus, Harbor, SonarQube) (developer tools profile)
• Basic knowledge of securing/hardening servers in accordance with IT-Grundschutz
• Fluent German and good technical English
