Active Directory administrator

The customer is an international automotive supplier that develops and manufactures automotive components and technology solutions. It combines engineering expertise with advanced manufacturing capabilities to support customers across multiple markets, focusing on solutions that enhance vehicle performance and user experience.

• Upgrade Quest Active Administrator from version 8.9.0.301 to 8.9.1.9, including updating agents on Domain Controllers
• Migrate Quest Active Administrator to a new Windows Server 2025 environment, including database and agent migration
• Evaluate Azure SQL Managed Instance as a potential database solution and optimize database logging and archive log configurations
• Review and reduce agent and service permissions in line with the Tier 0 security model, including evaluating Group Managed Service Accounts
• Analyze and consolidate security delegations and templates, removing duplicate configurations
• Review and optimize PowerShell scripts used for standard Organizational Units
• Optimize GPO history management by removing obsolete history and reducing unnecessary backups
• Manage and support security delegations, GPO backup and recovery, and attribute-level object backup and recovery
• Administer log collectors for selected Domain Controllers and ensure proper logging functionality

• 2+ Years of hands-on experience with Quest Active Administrator environments
• Experience performing solution upgrades and agent updates
• Experience with Active Directory Domain Controllers and related administration
• Experience with database migration and/or setup
• Knowledge of Azure Managed MSSQL Database Service evaluation and implementation scenarios
• Understanding of permission models and security concepts, including Tier 0 principles
• Experience with Group Managed Service Accounts (gMSA)
• Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), including backup, recovery, and history management
• Experience with delegation management and template consolidation
• Ability to review and evaluate PowerShell scripts
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or above
• German at Upper-Intermediate level or above
