задачи
Design, develop, test, and document new PGD capabilities
Maintain and improve the performance and usability of existing PGD capabilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into executable tasks
Provide production support to EDB’s PGD customers
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with a globally distributed team
требования
5+ Years of experience in a software engineering position
Strong proficiency in C programming
Experience with PostgreSQL internals, including the storage engine, WAL, replication, catalog system, or extension development
Understanding of distributed systems concepts, including replication topologies, consensus, conflict resolution, eventual consistency, and failure modes
Experience with multi-version and multi-branch codebases with active backporting workflows
Familiarity with build systems and CI/CD practices
Comfort working with Git on a large, long-lived codebase with complex branching
Strong debugging and performance analysis skills
Будет плюсом: contributions to PostgreSQL or other open-source database projects, logical replication, logical decoding or custom replication solutions, distributed consensus algorithms such as Raft, the PostgreSQL extension API and hook system, high-availability architectures and failover mechanisms, Python, Rust, AWS, Azure, GCP, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
