NPU engineer for AI

The Client AI (Movidius NPU) group designs high-performance, ultra-low-power neural network IP technology for advanced AI applications.

• Support Client AI group development activities across development disciplines
• Support FPGA emulation, remote testing, and development farms
• Test and validate product specifications and characteristics
• Develop use-case projects, including demos, using prototyping hardware
• Develop lab tools and services
• Perform operational and business management activities related to EHS, logistics and controlled technology, GDPR privacy, operational management, and finance
• Work on the current NPU neural processor technology portfolio, with technical activities varying by team

• Currently enrolled in a Level 8 or Level 9 college course in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent course
• Available for six to eight months in 2027, preferably starting between January and June
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work as part of a high-performing team
• Able to deal with ambiguity when defining activities and direction
• Good planning and organizational skills

• Minimum annual salary in Ireland: €31,400.00; the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits
• Student internship for six to eight months in 2027
