Java developer in microservices

We are looking for a Mid Java Developer to build and modernise backend systems in a microservices environment for enterprise clients. You will join a team of developers, analysts, testers and DevOps engineers who have delivered together for years, working on systems at the core of our clients' operations.

• You will develop and maintain Java applications, design backend solutions within a microservices architecture, and integrate internal and external systems through REST APIs.
• A good part of the work is modernisation: upgrading services to current Java versions, replacing outdated components, improving existing code and adding new features along the way.
• You will work day to day with analysts, testers and DevOps engineers in an Agile/Scrum setup, and use AI tools as part of your everyday engineering.

• Has 2–4 years of commercial experience in Java development.
• Is highly proficient in Spring Boot and has hands-on experience with Spring Cloud.
• Has designed and built backend services within a microservices architecture.
• Has worked with legacy code and understands what it takes to modernise it safely.
• Understands asynchronous communication and message brokers.
• Has integrated internal and external systems using REST APIs.
• Has practical experience with Oracle or other relational databases, including writing and optimising SQL queries.
• Works with Docker and Kubernetes in day-to-day development and deployment.
• Cares about code quality and performance, and is comfortable optimising existing code as well as delivering new features.
• Uses Git and is familiar with CI/CD practices.
• Has worked in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborates easily with analysts, testers and DevOps engineers.
• Is open to using AI tools in daily work to speed up development, analysis and testing.
• Communicates fluently in Polish and English.
• Будет плюсом: Experience migrating between Java versions (e.g. Java 8 to Java 17) is a strong plus; Experience with ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ is welcome; Familiarity with Camunda, Angular or React with TypeScript, or integrating banking systems is a plus
