• Build server-side validation for the game metagame, including currency, card upgrades, chest opens, and progression, by replicating economy and reward logic on the server and staging the work by risk;
• Move competitive features toward server authority, with game state stored in one trusted location;
• Design APIs and player-state management for integration with the Unity client, and help define the division of responsibilities between client and server;
• Work across infrastructure, API design, coding, and client-side integration;
• Collaborate with client developers and game designers from feature design through delivery, validation, and iteration;
• Contribute to the shared gaming backend platform and collaborate with the wider backend team.

• 7+ Years of backend development experience;
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals;
• At least 1 year of professional Golang experience and extreme fluency in Golang;
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL;
• Experience with high-scale systems;
• Understanding of Unix-like environments;
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams;
• Strong analytical skills and a track record of solving complex scalability, performance, and integration problems in high-stakes environments;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence teams and work effectively with stakeholders;
• Ability to work autonomously;
