frontend js/react/typescript for web development

JetBrains develops products for JavaScript and TypeScript developers and supports the broader web development ecosystem through product strategy, community engagement, and partnerships.

• Set the strategy and direction for JetBrains products for web developers and start new product directions when important niches are not addressed;
• Define the work for product management, marketing, developer advocacy, and partnerships in the web ecosystem, and keep everyone working toward one plan;
• Track important changes and trends in the web community, including frameworks, tooling, major releases, and new workflows;
• Build and maintain relationships with key people in the web ecosystem, including companies, open-source projects, and community leaders;
• Work with engineering and QA leads to set priorities and plan work;
• Represent JetBrains in the web ecosystem at key events and meetings;
• Coordinate with other ecosystems when areas overlap, including Databases, Go, and AI.

• Deeply understand how web developers work, including JavaScript/TypeScript, major frameworks especially React, Node.js and browser tooling, package managers, build tools, code quality tools, testing, and performance tooling;
• Have experience setting product direction based on market needs as a Product Manager or Head of Product;
• Have experience leading work across product management, marketing, developer advocacy, and business development, directly or through cross-team leadership;
• Have strong external-facing capabilities, including partnerships, community engagement, and executive-level communication;
• Use data for decisions by combining community feedback with product usage and business results.
