backend engineer (Scala + TypeScript)

• Shape the architecture, engineering standards, and ways of working for a new team
• Build features across the stack, primarily in Scala, with TypeScript and React

• 6–8 Years of experience building production backend services at scale, including designing scalable systems
• Strong knowledge of Scala
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React
• Good understanding of functional programming concepts, such as pure functions, composition, and algebraic data types, and an interest in applying them in practice
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience using AI tools to support coding, testing, documentation, and team collaboration
• Good knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, and modern web communication patterns
• Experience working with cloud environments and containers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Experience with backend testing approaches and tools
• Confidence working across the stack and taking ownership of solutions
• Very good communication skills in English and Polish

• 169 - 190 PLN/hour + VAT (B2B) | 20 750 - 23 240 PLN gross (UoP)
