Its Cloud Services provide data protection, security, and edge services, including SSL, email, EADN, and CDN/WAF, to keep customers’ applications safe and performant.

• Own features end to end, from specification and implementation through testing and production monitoring
• Specify requirements before coding and resolve ambiguity with requesters in writing
• Use the AI harness and agentic tooling daily, apply automated pull request reviews, and build and share reusable skills
• Verify changes with tests, coverage gates, and failure-case testing; provide evidence in pull requests
• Review code promptly, identify design problems, and explain required changes
• Mentor less experienced engineers through pairing, explanations, and timely feedback
• Participate in the on-call rotation, document incidents and follow-up actions, reduce toil, and document operational knowledge
• Safely modify unfamiliar areas of the hosting platform and improve their instrumentation
• Identify dependencies on other teams, coordinate directly with the owners, and land dependencies ahead of related work
• Understand the customer and business value of work, prioritize accordingly, and communicate delivery risks and timelines early with evidence

• 5+ Years of software engineering experience building and operating production software, with ownership after launch
• 5+ Years of experience with Perl or PHP
• 5+ Years of experience with relational databases
• Depth in at least one area of a production system and ability to learn unfamiliar areas
• Ability to review code in languages not used daily and identify problems
• Daily hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering, including precise specifications, critical review of generated code, and identifying failure modes
• Habit of writing tests, gating changed code, and using tests to catch mistakes
• Experience operating built software, participating in production on-call, owning an incident, and contributing to a follow-up write-up
• Clear written communication in a remote, distributed team, including documenting decisions and trade-offs and working across time zones
