• Design, build, and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and services at scale
• Own the architecture and implementation of distributed systems behind high-volume, low-latency APIs
• Solve scalability, latency, and performance problems in live production systems
• Lead system design discussions and shape backend architecture
• Set backend development best practices for throughput, reliability, and latency
• Validate performance through automated testing, benchmarking, and production-driven improvements
• Trace production issues across services and the full stack, and ship fixes that improve reliability

• 5+ Years of relevant industry experience
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend components
• Ability to solve complex design, scalability, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency production systems
• Production experience with Java and Rust
• Experience in cloud-native environments, particularly AWS
• Comfortable working across the stack and willing to explore infrastructure and platform challenges when needed
• Experience building highly available and scalable distributed systems
• Self-starter who takes ownership, moves fast, and balances attention to detail with shipping
• Curious about emerging technologies and eager to continuously learn and explore new ideas
