• Design, build, and maintain features in a Rails 8.1 application serving real customer traffic
• Own key platform areas from design through production
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical planning with the team
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability, including refactoring legacy components where worthwhile
• Support deployments, monitoring, and production troubleshooting across current environments
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party travel suppliers and internal services
• Promote engineering practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, clear documentation, and sensible upgrade paths
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to turn requirements into well-scoped technical solutions

• 5+ Years of commercial experience with Ruby
• Hands-on production experience with Ruby on Rails, including recent versions (Rails 7/8)
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideally running Rails applications on it
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience writing automated tests with RSpec or Minitest
• A proactive, ownership-driven approach and the ability to work autonomously
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher
• Будет плюсом: migrating applications from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud, travel, e-commerce or booking platforms, background job processing (Sidekiq, Solid Queue) and caching (Redis, Solid Cache), Hotwire (Turbo/Stimulus), upgrading Rails applications across major versions, Docker and infrastructure as code (Terraform) on GCP, integrating with external APIs (suppliers, payment providers), mentoring or onboarding other engineers
