Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using PHP and Laravel
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
Design and optimize MySQL databases, queries, indexes, and data models
Develop asynchronous and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
Work with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and Lambda
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Graylog and other observability tools
Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues
Participate in system architecture and technical design decisions
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level developers
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams

5+ Years of professional backend/software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel
Strong MySQL knowledge, including query optimization, indexing, and database design
Practical experience with Kafka or similar message/event streaming systems
Experience building and maintaining high-traffic production systems
Solid understanding of REST APIs, system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
Hands-on experience with AWS
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Good English communication skills
Strong technical skills and comfort solving complex backend problems
Ability to take ownership of features and systems from design through production
Comfort making technical decisions and discussing architectural trade-offs
Proactive, collaborative, and willing to mentor other engineers
Interest in systems where performance, scalability, and reliability are important
