backend developer for API and database performance

Qbitech is building a platform focused on API request optimization, database performance, and scaling event-driven systems.

• Design and optimize service APIs for latency, throughput, and reliability
• Tune PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and data models for performance at scale
• Build and maintain backend services primarily in Go and Python
• Work with event-driven systems and Kafka message queues
• Manage and scale infrastructure within AWS
• Participate in code reviews and help set development practices and CI/CD standards

• 3–5 Years of professional backend development experience
• Strong backend fundamentals in a modern server-side language; Go experience is welcome but not required
• Proven experience designing and optimizing high-performance APIs
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query tuning, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture and deployment on AWS
• Strong analytical and written communication skills
