backend developer for a research platform

AlphaSights provides information services.

• Define technical solutions to business problems and contribute to an architectural vision for a research platform;
• Develop and ship working code using React on the frontend and Kotlin microservices with Postgres on the backend; assess new technologies that could improve the stack;
• Deploy frequent releases using CircleCI and Spinnaker for CI/CD, gather customer feedback, and use it to inform iterations;
• Monitor services, diagnose root causes of errors, and deploy fixes.

• Have experience working at a similar level in a mature engineering team;
• Have expertise in at least one programming language; the team uses Python, Kotlin, and some Ruby;
• Have ideally worked with relational databases;
• Have a demonstrable impact in previous roles;
• Be highly driven, proactive, independent, meticulous, and attentive to detail;
• A STEM degree is likely, but equivalent experience gained through another route is also welcome.
