Scorewarrior develops and publishes games. Its cross-platform MMO 4X strategy game, Total Battle, features a deep social system and extensive player interaction, with 2 million monthly active players.

• Take high-uncertainty questions from product teams from vague questions to decisions the team acts on
• Design and analyze experiments in non-standard setups, including delayed treatment, kingdom-level tests, small samples, and heavy-tailed revenue; own variance reduction, outlier handling, permutation tests, MDE, power, and reporting rules
• Estimate effects when classic A/B testing is impossible using causal inference and quasi-experimental designs, and turn one-off solutions into reusable methods, reference documents, dbt data marts, and Tableau dashboards
• Check assumptions behind metrics, test read-outs, and pilot outputs before the business acts on them
• Use Python for research when SQL is not enough, including graph algorithms, optimization problems, and simulations
• Specify logging for features shipped by teams without their own analyst and cover their ad-hoc questions

• Experience running high-uncertainty research end-to-end, from problem framing to a decision acted on by the team
• Hands-on experience with causal inference and quasi-experimental methods on product questions, including identifying what can invalidate an estimate and how it was checked
• Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and applying statistics, including distributions, power, MDE, variance reduction, heavy tails, and outliers
• Strong SQL and experience with an analytical data warehouse
• Working Python skills for research, including implementing algorithms or statistical procedures without a ready-made library call and evaluating whether the code can work; production services are not expected
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including documenting agreements and saying when a result cannot be trusted
• English at B1 or above
• Game industry experience is not required
